Summer is here and now the kids are ready to go all day! But… it’s so dang hot outside that trips to the park aren’t cutting it anymore. You need a way to stay cooled off and let the kids have fun. Well don’t you worry, I’ve got a list of ideas for you go venture out to this summer— and they all include WATER!
Cumming Aquatic Center- they have a pool and a water park with slides. I love this because there is also a little water playground type thing for the littles that is not very deep. You can buy daily tickets or passes.
Frances Meadows Aquatic Center (Gainesville)- it’s set up very similar to the Cumming one. It also has some splash pad areas, water playground areas and water slides. You can buy daily tickets or passes.
Margaritaville At Lanier Islands (Gainesville/ Lake Lanier)- there is always something fun to do here. They have a water park, beach access, live music, firework celebrations and more! You can buy daily tickets or passes.
Yahoola Creek Park (Dahlonega)- has a splash pad for the kids and it’s free.
Rock Creek Park (Dawsonville)- has a splash pad for the kids and it’s free.
Downtown Alpharetta- also has a big splash pad type fountain that the kids love running through. We like to hit up the restaurants and grab some icecream and let them just run through the water.
Veterans Memorial Park (Dawsonville)- has a pool you can go to to swim.
Helen + Dahlonega- both having tubing you can do and it’s seriously so much fun in the summer.
We hope this helps!
